Nancy served for many years as Ride Director for this popular 25-mile after-midnight bicycle ride through Chicago neighborhoods and along the lakefront. The event attracted thousands of cyclists each year, many of whom never before experienced Chicago by bike after midnight or witnessed the sunrise from Chicago’s lakefront.

Nancy’s work focused on event planning and coordination, volunteer recruitment and training, police and city support and permits, sponsorship, social media and marketing.

Best Lit Bike and Best Decorated Helmet contests brought out creativity and flair among the cyclists. Some dressed as the Blues Brothers, characters from the Wizard of Oz, wearing bunny ears, while others customized their LATE Ride t-shirts with tie-dye and creative styling.

Nancy created exciting sponsor partnerships with Jeep, KEEN Footwear, McDonald’s, MINI, Peoples Gas, REI, Shape Magazine, Sports Authority, Village Cycle Center, WXRT Radio and many others.  Each year, Nancy also brought in close to a quarter-million dollars’ worth of in-kind products and services from well-known brands, including Ben & Jerry’s, Clif Bar, Dannon, GNC, Ice Mountain, Jelly Belly, Lifeway, Stonyfield Organic, Sweet Leaf Iced Teas, and many others.
