The Chicago Reader hosted its 50ish UnGala with three levels of art and entertainment at the Museum of Contemporary Art.
Since 1971, the Chicago Reader has been a free, fearless, independent newspaper. The crowd of 1,200 people took over the MCA with alt-r&b, folk, modern dance, drag, improv, breakdancing, DJ sets and more to celebrate the Reader’s 50ish anniversary. We were called upon to manage pre-event registration, write and deliver guest communications, recruit and coordinate volunteers, and oversee day-of guest check-in and check-out.
